It's time to get a better paying job that doesn't require me to EAT SUCK all the time SO... I used this study guide, crammed over a period of 3 days (i do not recommend this) and took the test just yesterday. I got a 68 which is the highest score of anyone i know of. The lowest score is 20, you need 40 to pass, and 50 is the mean score, 80 is the highest. So 68 is up there. The army does not release score averages/percentages, but the few guys i know have gotten between 50 and 60 (we are infantry and not all of us are the brightest i.e. knuckle dragging, club wielding, sloped forehead- you get the picture). This book made a pretty big impact- it is laid out just like the actual test. In fact i would say the practice test in the book is a little harder than the actual test (which is good). If you are short on time just take the practice tests. If you have to study one thing study the aviation portion. But just doing a run-through of the practice tests the day before the actual test really made an impact. That being said the actual test made me feel like an idiot (there were a few instances where i was shouting curses at the computer screen for asking me flight school level questions "your gonna teach me that in flight school you piece of %&*" That actually happened. The testing center was empty except for myself. I have the decency to contain myself around strangers/officers. I was tired and a baby kept me up all night (also not recommended but life choices like that are irreversible)). I was running on coffee (definitely recommended) but i was answering correctly enough to get a 68. This book is worth every penny. Now i don't need it so i'm gonna burn it in a trashcan to celebrate.

Great study guide and practice test By Kristen Wetzel The book begins with getting ready for test day and 12 general strategies.The study guide is broken down into 7 sections - simple drawings, hidden figures, army aviation information, spatial apperception, reading comprehension test, math skills, and mechanical comprehension. The army aviation information section is broken down by aerodynamics, flight controls, weight and balance, basic maneuvers, and conclusion. The reading comprehension section is broken down with strategies and general reading comprehension skills. The math skills section is broken down by - numbers and their classifications, operations, positive and negative numbers, factors and multiples, fractions, percentages, and related concepts; systems of equations; polynomial algebra; solving quadratic equations; and basic geometry. The mechanical comprehension section is broken down by - kinematics, kinetics, work/energy, machines, momentum/impulse, fluids, heat transfer, optics, electricity, and magnetism.There is a practice test broken down into 7 sections - simple drawings, hidden figures, army aviation information, spatial apperception, reading comprehension test, math skills, and mechanical comprehension. Answers and explanations follow each section as well.I would recommend this book as a great study guide and practice test.I received this book at a discount to review; however, it does not affect my honest opinion.

I figured that before I bomb the SIFT exam and make a fool out of myself, I ought to look around to see if I can't get my hands on a SIFT study booklet. With all thankfulness, I found this book. This book outlines exactly what you need to know in order to be successful on the exam. I did some research before hand and reviewed what good scores look like for the SIFT. Max score is 80 and mean score is 50, so I figured that getting a 60 would be the most reasonable score I could achieve. To my disbelief, I SCORED A 77!!! I truly do owe it to this study guide for giving me the tools I need to be successful for this exam. I definitely recommend getting one for yourself.
